1. Definitions

• • Provider: The Play Den, a sensory-play service based in West Cork.

• • Participant: The child enrolled in Classes and its parent/guardian or authorized caregiver.

• • Booking: Your reservation and prepayment for a 4-week block of Classes.

• • Block: Four consecutive weekly, 60-minute sessions.

2. Booking & Payment

1. 1. 4-Week Blocks Only
      
      • • All Classes are sold in 4-week Blocks at €55 per child.
      • • A limited number of spaces are available; advance booking is required.

1. 1. How to Book
      
      • • Bookings must be made via our online system or by contacting us directly.
      • • Payment in full is due at the time of booking to secure your place.

1. 1. Sibling Discount
      
      • • A second child from the same household may be enrolled at €30 for the same Block (saving €25).

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

• • Full Refund
    
    • • If you cancel at least 48 hours before the start of Week 1 of your Block, we will issue a full refund of all fees paid.

• • No Partial Refunds or Credits
    
    • • Once Week 1 has begun, no refunds or credits will be provided for missed classes or cancellations, including illness or unforeseeable events.

4. Attendance & Supervision

1. 1. Supervision Required
      
      • • A parent, guardian, or authorized caregiver must remain on-site for the duration of each Class. The Play Den does not provide one-to-one supervision.

      • • Classes are designed for babies and toddlers aged 0–3.5 years; mixed-age group formats are maintained.

5. Health, Allergies & Special Needs

      • • You must inform us in writing of any allergies, medical conditions, or additional support needs prior to attending.

      • • While we strive to create low-allergen, sensory-friendly environments (minimal noise, soft lighting, non-toxic materials), we cannot guarantee the absence of all potential triggers.

      • • You are responsible for bringing any necessary medications (e.g., EpiPens) and share emergency response plans with staff.

6. Intellectual Property

    • • All materials—text, images, designs, curricula, instructional methods—are the property of The Play Den and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

• • Restrictions
    
    • • You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or otherwise use any content without our express written consent.

7. No Professional Advice

• • The content of our Classes and communications is intended to support early childhood development through play. It is not a substitute for professional medical, therapeutic, educational, or psychological advice. Always seek the guidance of qualified professionals for any concerns.

8. Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability

      • • You acknowledge that sensory and physical play carries inherent risks (e.g., slips, minor bumps). You accept full responsibility for any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation.

      • • To the maximum extent permitted by law, you hereby release and hold harmless The Play Den, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, demands, or causes of action related to your child’s participation.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and defend The Play Den against any third-party claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms or your child’s actions.

10. Modifications

We reserve the right to:

• • Change Class schedules, locations, or pricing.

• • Update these Terms at any time.

Revised Terms will be posted to our Site with a new “Last updated” date. Your continued participation after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

• • Governing Law: Irish law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

• • Dispute Resolution: Any dispute will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
